Rachel Davies is a writer and curator.
Rachel’s primary subjects are music and books, with a focus on comics, but they write about all aspects of culture: film, TV, music, visuals and hope to expand even more. In curating, Rachel is interested in creating more accessible and interactive spaces with artists of varied perspectives from all over the world. Rachel’s chapbook Skillful Interiors was released with Ghost City Press this July. You can buy it here.
At Toronto Comic Arts Festival 2017, Rachel moderated the Expressive Lines panel with Ron Rege Jr., Hellen Jo, Keren Katz, Maggie Umber, and Xia Gordon, as well as introducing the Jillian Tamaki x Eleanor Davis spotlight.
In high school, Rachel founded the zine Pop Culture Puke which featured the work of young writers and artists from all over the world. Previously, Rachel served as the arts editor for The Le Sigh, a blog that highlights women and non-binary makers.
